Angelica Hoang
Angelica Hoang is an experimental textile artist based in London, exploring traditional craft in the contemporary climate. She aims to challenge perceptions of textile-based craft by modernising the tools and approach used in standardised craft practices. Through the use of unconventional materials—such as metal, paper and plastic— combined with techniques such as crochet and macrame, she disrupts craft’s traditional associations with comfort and domesticity, instead revealing its inherent strength. Her work engages with the ritualistic power of making, where craft becomes a medium for resilience and transformation. At its core, her practice champions a value system rooted in time, energy, and care.
